February Luncheon with guest speaker Andrew McCarthy

On behalf of the AAPLE membership, I want to thank last month’s luncheon speaker, Andrew McCarthy, former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, who gave a very informative and interesting lecture on both the 1993 and 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. His discussion also covered the continuing efforts of the law enforcement community and military services in their fight against future terrorist attacks in the United States. Mr. McCarthy is a noted author whose work includes Willful Blindness: A Memoir of the Jihad. He also writes extensively on a variety of legal issues for National Review and Commentary, among other publications, as well as providing commentary for various television and radio broadcasts. His work as the Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York includes the prosecution against the jihad organization of Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman.
